I received my second Ipsy yesterday. I haven't had a chance to really experience each product, but those that I have used seem to be very nice.
Lash Card Mascara Shields - I find lash cards kind of gimmicky and a waste of money. If I have that much of an issue with not making a mess of my mascara, perhaps I should just stay away from mascara all together. At $6.99 for 10 at Lashcard.com, I suppose that is a good deal, but I could also just use an old Sonic gift card that I have floating around in my purse. I'd much rather spend the $6.99 on a Color Tattoo or a couple of Baby Lips.
Coastal Scents Eye Shadow - I have heard of Coastal Scents online and my good friend Clara has several palettes, but I haven't ever used them myself. As far as the quality, so far I am impressed. I'm wearing Dark Goldenrod and Dark Golden Olive today and the color is beautiful.

Dark Goldenrod & Dark Golden Olive with a little Maybelline Color Tattoo Bold Gold |
Dark Goldenrod - A warm goldish looking color that when applied pops with the slightest green sparkle.
Sunbeam - Matte yellow. According to Clara I could use this as a base color or as an accent. I'm a little afraid of yellow, so we'll see.
Golden Globe - A shimmery orange-gold that goes on a lot less in your face then the color appears.
Dark Golden Olive - My favorite of the bunch, this color appears brown in the tray, goes on a sexy olive with gold shimmer. The coloring is dark but it doesn't look too extreme with my pale skin.
Pop Beauty - This brand is from the UK and I've heard of it here and there, but have never been able to find any around here. I received the Smokey Lash Kapow! mascara in No. 1 Smokey Black. I have only tried this once, last night, and I think I need to have a few more applications to see if I really like it. It does make my lashes appear thicker but it was slightly clumpy. Not so much that I couldn't fix it though. I'll definitely keep this one around to try when I'm feeling like a change. At around 16 dollars, its cheaper than my beloved Model Co. FibreXtend, but I don't know if I'll like it enough to take advantage of the savings.
Pixi Flawless & Poreless Face Primer - I have been checking out Pixi products at various stores and online for some time but I have never purchased anything. They are quite expensive compared to others and I haven't found anything that really jumps out at me to try. I have not truly used this primer as a primer yet, I applied a little to my forehead and chin this morning and it made my skin nice and smooth but didn't provide any sort of coverage. I don't use face primers but I will give this a go the next time I do a full face of makeup. At $29.00, this primer is a little above my price range for a product I really don't need.
Mica Beauty Cosmetics Gel Eyeliner in Black - I really have never used gel eyeliners before. I always thought that it would be too messy. This gel eyeliner is highly pigmented and application is pretty easy, even for a novice like myself. It's also very forgiving, I was able to correct mistakes easily before it dried. I've got it on today although you can't see it very well in the picture above. This is my first dealings with Mica Beauty Cosmetics and although I am impressed with this gel eyeliner, I am not impressed with the price. At $30, I can't see myself purchasing this product. This little pot while last me awhile, but I will have to find a comparable gel eyeliner that won't break the bank.
All in all, I'm pretty happy with my Ipsy this month. I would like to address an issue that seems to be popping up alot and may be happening due to people being spoiled, awful human beings, but I find it ridiculous. I read reviews daily on Ipsy, Birchbox, and the like and there are too many people griping and bitching about them. They don't like the products, they think it's a waste, they didn't get exactly what they wanted. These beauty boxes are to try products and possibly find new favorites. You can't expect to love every single thing that you receive. I know that I have received multiple products in my Birchbox that I would never use or smelled bad or just weren't for me. Instead of getting mad, I just found a friend to give them to and made a mental note that I would never buy that product. And seriously, it's $10 a month. $20 for both. I spend $20 on popcorn at the movies. I have received multiple full size products that I still use today and I've received samples of things that I have fallen in love with and purchased multiple times. People should be happy that we have something like these beauty boxes. *Steps off soapbox*
I should be receiving my Birchbox in the next few days and I will put another haul together!
