Christmas Party!

Tonight is my companies Christmas party, which I have heard wonderful things about for several years now. My best friend's husband has worked for this company for over 4 years now and they always rave about the party. Live music, catered food, open bar, photo booths, etc etc. Needless to say, I am exploding with excitement about going tonight with the husband.

Last night I stopped in at Ross (which is probably my favorite place in the world to shop) and found the dress that I will wear. This dress being the third that I have bought for the occasion. I like to have options, you know? The dress is all black lace, with a black slip underneath. Pretty simple and classic. I do plan to make a belt when I get home tonight to add to it just to create a waist and glitz it up a little. I do not have a picture of the dress right now and I can't seem to find anything online for it.

I also found shoes and I love them very much. They are a little higher heeled then I was aiming for, but I did the husband test and I'm not towering over him. I am only an inch or two shorter than he is and high heels make for giant Heather. His dress shoes have a bit of a lift on them, so we should even out.

One is wide, one is not, apparently.

They are about 3 inch wedge heels and are pretty comfortable, atleast for the time I wore them stomping around the house last night. I was also told to look for some cute flats for my coworker and found these for her:


I'll have to take some pictures of the whole getup once I'm put together. I will be attempting to do my hair tonight, so let's all keep our fingers crossed on for me.
