May 2013 Favorites

Here are a few things that I have been enjoying this month. They are all a little random but that's kind of my thing.


No. 4 Non-Aerosol Hairspray - I received a sample of this a few months back and sat it down next to my sewing machine and promptly forgot about it. (This happens to me quite a bit.) When I started a project I had to move it out of my way and thought I'd try it. This hairspray really is amazing, it makes my hair piecy and messy looking but isn't gunky. I have been trying different styling products on my hair since I got it cut and this hairspray has impressed me the most so far.

Lush Jumping Juniper Shampoo Bar - I bought this a while back on our Oklahoma City trip and have about used it all up. My hair is always oilier this time of year and my normal shampoo just doesn't cut it. This shampoo leaves my hair squeaky clean but doesn't dry it out like most clarifying shampoos. I will definitely be purchasing this again.

Primer - This is a general favorite because I have been using multiple primers lately. Since I don't really wear foundation on a regular basis, I've been using primers by themselves to even out my skin tone. They help out with oil, which is a problem for me as the weather heats up. Right now I'm working on a sample of Sephora Collection Anti-Shine Foundation Primer and I'm pretty sure I will need to purchase the full size.

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist - Another sample that I received a while back, I had used it a couple of times but have really started to love it since its warmed up and we have been taking the motorcycle out. It works great to refresh my poor skin after it has been pelted with wind and sun and bugs. I got a little bit of a sunburn over Memorial Day weekend and I've been using this mist throughout the day and my sunburn hasn't been bothering me.


Celestial Seasonings Unsweetened Black Iced Tea - We have a Keurig machine at work and we recently got this tea, which is delicious. I love strong iced tea and this makes a perfect glass every time. I haven't been able to find it at my local Walmart but I will be searching around because I need this at home.



Pop-Tarts - I don't know why I have been loving pop-tarts so much. Maybe because they are in the vending machine at work? Who knows. My favorite is the frosted brown sugar cinnamon but I've also taken a liking to good ole strawberry. Toasted, of course.
