I have never had a mascara that I just couldn't live without. I've always had a problem with smearing, clumping, and flaking. Even higher quality brands never seemed to work for me. I received a sample of a YSL mascara and had heard wonderful things about it and tried it out, only to have it flake all over my cheeks within a few hours. One can imagine my frustration with this long running problem.
A few months ago, I received this (full size) mascara sample in my Birchbox and didn't think much of it (besides being impressed with the size.) The next time I did my makeup, I decided to give it a try and I was BLOWN AWAY. ModelCo Fibre LashXtend not only went on clump free, but it didn't smear or flake and it just made my lashes look naturally long. I am not a heavy mascara wearer, I don't want my lashes to looked weighed down. With one coat, the fibers in the formula add length and volume, without looking spider-y. And an added bonus is that it does not make my eyes itchy or affect my ridiculous eye allergies at all! This is now my daily use mascara and I could not be happier with it.
I am very cheap and I would normally scoff at the $24 price tag on this mascara (at Birchbox) but I will have no problem paying this when I run out. I have not tried any other products from ModelCo yet, but if they are anything like this mascara, I'm going to have to take out a loan because I might just have to have them.
